The Importance of Responsive Web Design
Every website we produce comes optimized and responsive — in other words, they can be easily viewed and used on any type of device and screen size, spanning from the widest desktop computers, to iPads, all the way down to the slimmest of smart phones.
Not only do responsive websites look and render better, but they also punch up your online visibility. Starting April 21, 2015, Google announced it “will be expanding our use of mobile-friendliness as a ranking signal.” How much will this matter, particularly given that over half of all online traffic now comes via mobile phones? “This change will affect mobile searches in all languages worldwide and will have a significant impact in our search results,” according to Google [emphasis added].
Is your website mobile-friendly? Your competition’s? What about your web designer’s company website? It’s easy to find out with Google’s Mobile-Friendly Test page.
